GALLMANN Swiss painter Born 1924 in Madrid / Spain 1st Prize: Beaux-Arts Geneva, aged 19; opens her own studio a year later. Winner of the envied Lissignol-Chevalier & Charles Galland Award:1946/48/49; followed by the Federal Prize, Bern, 1952. RITA handles with refreshing ease: oil, watercolour, gouache, pastel, chalk, tempera, acrylic and drawings. Her work can be characterized as neo-impressionist and expressionist.
